Greetings!
I am Charley Singer - welcome to my world. I and my wife of 40 years, Marie, reside in the Birdsprings Chapter Community on the Navajo Reservation near Flagstaff, Arizona.

I began painting
at the age of eleven

Our primitive day-to-day lives with all their simplicity and beauty find expression through my artwork. My paintings represent my life, reflecting what I see and feel from the breathtaking panorama of my homeland. I have never pursued formal art training, yet I have felt blessed with a natural talent to create and capture vibrant, enchanting images on paper and canvas.

My first hogan
I attended the first seven grades at Little Singer School, named for my father who was a medicine man. I studied at Sherman Institute in Riverside, Calif., and graduated in 1962 with trade skills in printing.

I then married Marie and we have been blessed with six children, during which time I have painted and silversmithed. After 29 years as a bus driver for Little Singer School, I retired.

My painting "Self Preservation" (1968) was inducted into the Avery Collection of Native American Paintings at the Arizona State Museum and may be seen at http://www.statemuseum.arizona.edu. The Avery Collection includes many prominent Native American artists.

The interest in my paintings has prompted me to offer museum quality limited edition reproductions. Each of these fine art giclées includes a titled and numbered certificate. Art collectors may invest in fine canvas paintings stretched with gallery wrap on all sides, wired, and ready to hang.

Enjoy the images of my world, and allow my paintings to captivate your spirit as my world captivates mine.

Thank you,
